Prosecco is hotter than ever! First discovered by many Americans during visits to Italy and/or while dining in our many Italian restaurants and bistros stateside, Prosecco is a fruity, charming sparkling wine typically made with the Glera grape. The Savino is light, fresh and tasty with a fruity bouquet evoking peach, green apple, acacia and wisteria. While starting off crisp and fairly dry, Savino finishes fine and a little fruity, showing great balance and body. It is definitely a 'crowd-pleasing' style with a high quality core. Serve as an aperitif, with hors-d’oeuvres and first courses, especially fried calamari, seafood antipasto and clams casino. Or make peach Bellini’s with crème de Pêche or peach nectar at the bottom of your flute topped of with this Prosecco.
